A garden project

After the steps were built, we had in mind a new garden project. We wanted to make a new flowerbed.
We've had a few days off, so decided to tackle the flowerbed while the weather was with us.

Here it is:

removing the top layer of grass

Digging out the concrete rubble which had been buried beneath

Our little visitor. Did you see him in the last photo? He was hunting for worms as we took a break.

Missy the Supervisor checks the quality of works

and here's the finished flowerbed.

and Missy, enjoying the sunshine now the work is done.

We have a couple more days off and will be enjoying those, at home.
I shall be writing some more to my second book, Leaves for Chloe.

Hope you've enjoyed the pics.

  1. Hi, Pat, great and nice photos.
    ~(*o*)~! ʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ·.•*•♫°•♫·.•ʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ!!! Cheers, Sadami

  2. Your garden project looks really successful. So nice to get these things completed and bedded up, and enjoy :)

Are you doing a Leaves theme/series then with your books?

    Enjoy your days off....ann.

  3. Thanks, Sadami xx

Thank you, Ann. We will enjoy it and the weather's been kind enough to water the plants in

Yes, there is a tea leaf reading theme. The girl in the first book has a best friend, who will also go for a reading in Book Two. Each book will be able to be read separately, though. I do like a book to have an end and each one will, independent of the other.

  4. Your garden looks lovely! (I guess it’s easy to do a good job with such a cute supervisor! LOL)

  5. Great project, Pat! I love your little visitor. When I still had a garden, I had a blackbird at my feet looking for worms when I was digging.

  6. That was ambitious project! But you couldn't go wrong with those two careful over-seers. I love the story and photos, Pat. How are your backs, after moving those concrete chunks?

  7. Hi Pat! I enjoyed seeing your garden project, good work! Thanks for sharing

  8. Ah Pat - all your hard back-breaking work certainly paid off - your garden looks gorgeous. I can see that Missy must have been tired as well. (LOL)
